Ra Ra Riot @ The Trocadero last fall – more photos HERE

Ra Ra Riot recently wrapped a tour of Europe and will be heading out on the road for a handful of random shows through out the summer including the XPNonential Festival. In August they’ll hit the road with Guster and Jack’s Mannquin for a string of dates throughout the Northeast. It may seem like a strange opening spot for the Syracuse band, but if you’ve been following the band over the years, you’d know they’re one of the hardest working bands out there. They just love playing live and sharing their music with their fans.

They’ll open for Guster and Jack’s Mannequin at the Festival Pier on Thursday, August 11th. Tickets for the show can be found HERE. Also, the Friday before, Ra Ra Riot will play a FREE show in Brooklyn. Can you say road trip? More info about that HERE.

Explosions In The Sky announced their first extensive US tour in nearly two years this afternoon. The tour will be in support of their recent album Take Care, Take Care which was released last month to¬† positive reviews. The album marks the band’s sixth studio album and proves that they are the easily the most accessible and consistent group in their genre.

If you’ve never seen these guys live, you need to. They put one of the most captivating and absolutely mind-blowing live shows out there. The last time they were in Philly, the band played two nights–one at The Starlight Ballroom and the other at The Trocadero. Luckily for us Philadelphians, our wait for them to return is over. The Austin quartet will play the Tower Theatre on Sunday, October 2nd. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday(05/27) and will be found HERE.
