Sun Airway announce show in the Sanctuary of the First Unitarian Church

Philadelphia’s own dreamy-indie-pop band Sun Airway made a special announcement today that they will play the Sanctuary of the First Unitarian Church in June. For those of you who have never seen these guys live, this is the perfect venue for their music. They’ve been on quite a tear as of late after playing a bunch of shows at SXSW and recently finishing up a tour with Asobi Seksu and Cults. The band are set to continue on that path with a date at their year’s Pitchfork Festival in Chicago. I’m sure they’ll announce even more shows as the summer gets closer.

Their show in the Sanctuary will be on Friday, June 3rd with Baltimore native/Ponytail member Dustin Wong. Ticks for the show can be found HERE.

Fleet Foxes release new video for “Grown Ocean”

Fleet Foxes released a new video this afternoon for the song “Grown” which will be on their upcoming record, Helplessness Blues. The album drops May 3rd via Sub Pop Records. The video consists of grainy footage of the band traveling and recording. It kind of looks like it was done on film instead of digital. Who knows? Also, they play the Tower Theatre in May. More details about the show can be found HERE.

Death Cab For Cutie share stream of new song “You Are A Tourist”

leave a comment »

Death Cab For Cutie have shared a stream of a new song “You Are A Tourist” off their upcoming release Codes and Keys. The song is not what I expected after reading interviews and previews with the band. I was under the impression the new album would have less guitars and more keys, but that is not the case with this song. It’s very guitar driven, which is not a bad thing at all. I’m just curious to see what the rest of the album has in store for us. We shall see. Check out the stream below.
