Texas post-rock band This Will Destroy You recently announced a summer tour which will start and end in their home state. Along the way they’ll make a stop in Philadelphia at Kung Fu Necktie. The band will be bringing out new material out on the road from their new record Tunnel Blanket as well as a new EP Communal Blood(listen/download the title track below). The album was produced by John Congleton who has worked with Explosions In The Sky, Modest Mouse and more. Tunnel Blanket currently does not have a release date yet, but they should have copies of both the LP and EP on the road.

The Philly show will be on Friday, June 11th with openers Light Pollution and Slow Six. If you like Explosions In The Sky, Mono and/or Mogwai, this show will be worth your while to check out. Tickets for the show can be found HERE.

  1. They don’t have copies of either, I talked to the merch guy at the Knitting Factory show in Brooklyn and he said the vinyl is still in Chicago. He said they’ll be posting it online.
