Wilco at the Electric Factory 04/10/2010

After witnessing the Philadelphia Union win their home opener/first game in club history, I managed to make it to the Electric Factory for Wilco‘s sold out show last night. They started right at 8:30 so I literally ran from the subway to make it for the first three songs so I could shoot photos. I made it just as they started “Ashes Of American Flags” and was able to snap a few.

They played a 3 hour set that was broken into two electric sets with an acoustic between them.  Jeff Tweedy was very conversational with the audience throughout the night and Nels Cline absolutely ripped on the guitar. The way he throws his guitar around to get feed back was quite a spectacle to watch. Not too many guitarists play like Cline.

Most bands out there today cannot pull off playing for three hours, but Wilco definitely can and do. They treat their fans very well. Photos and setlist below.

Setlist: Wilco (The Song) / I Am Trying to Break Your Heart / Ashes of American Flags / Bull Black Nova / You Are My Face, One Wing /  A Shot in the Arm / I’ll Fight / Company in My Back /  Pot Kettle Black /  Handshake Drugs / California Stars / Impossible Germany / Poor Places / Acoustic set: Spiders (Kidsmoke) /  You and I  / Sunken Treasure / That’s Not the Issue / Forget the Flowers / Laminated Cat / War on War / Passenger Side /  Outta Mind (Outta Sight) / Back to electric: Airline to Heaven / Via Chicago / Hate It Here / Walken /  Jesus, Etc. / Theologians / You Never Know / I Must Be High / Can’t Stand I / Heavy Metal Drummer /  I’m the Man Who Loves You, In the Street(Big Star cover) //Encore: Dreamer in My Dreams / Casino Queen / Outtasite (Outta Mind) / I’m a Wheel
