Vampire Weekend at the Electric Factory 04/02/2010
Vampire Weekend is on top of the world at the moment. Their new record, Contra, debuted at number 1 on the charts and they’re playing sold-out shows everywhere they go. One of those sold-out shows was last night at the Electric Factory.
The band took the stage shortly before 9:45 and played a highly energized hour and 15 minute set. Lead singer, Ezra Koenig, a former middle school teacher, made sure the crowd participated frequently and they absolutely loved it. The majority of the audience were young high school kids who knew the lyrics to all the songs. It proves that Vampire Weekend will be around for quite a while selling out venues and continuing to create some of the catchiest songs out there. Photos and setlist below.
